Watchmaking

Above is my Father's 12s Elgin.

January 2006

I became interested in watchmaking and decide to take a online course called the "Timezone Watchshool".

If you're interested in learning how to work on watches this website is good start.

Otto Frei (under the guise of Timezone Toolshop) sells the toolkits to go with the course. You get good tools, and come out of it with a working swiss movement automatic watch:

Recasing a 1960's Vintage Elgin Automatic

Cheap Timing Machine

Homebrew Waterproof Testing

Electrifying a Pallet Warmer

Tweezer Tuneup

My first balance staff replacement

Cleaning up a vintage pocketwatch dial
